Ozzfest comes to Israel

OZZY OSBOURNE and KORN will perform at the Israeli edition of Ozzy's travelling festival, Ozzfest, on September 28 at HaYarkon Park in Tel Aviv. The event will reportedly cost nearly $2 million to put on, with additional bands yet to be announced. Tickets are 325 Israel New Shekels (around $84), and will soon to be raised to 425 Israel New Shekels (around $110). VIP packages — including an actual seat, T-shirt and luxury accommodations — will cost 1,100 Israel New Shekels (around $283). A video message has been published on the net from KORN frontman Jonathan Davis announcing his band's upcoming appearance in Israel. Michael "Ozzy" Osbourne (born 3 December 1948) is a popular English singer-songwriter whose career has spanned five decades. Ozzy initially rose to prominence as lead vocalist of the pioneering English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, a band whose radically different, intentionally dark, doom sound spearheaded the heavy metal genre. In his subsequent solo career Ozzy achieved a multi-platinum status in addition to the one he had earned with Black Sabbath
