A man suspected of being an Israeli Mossad agent is being held in the Polish capital Warsaw on charges that he forged passports of German nationals as part of the assassination of Hamas leader Mahmoud al Mahbouh. It looks likely that the man named as Ori Brodski will be deported to neighbouring Germany where he will stand trial. As time progresses it looks less likely that this can be prevented. The Foreign Office has confirmed that an Israeli national is being held under arrest in Poland, and the Israeli Consulate in Warsaw has made it clear that they believe the accused man deserves the assistance of the Israeli consulate as any foreign national would. The Foreign Ministry has said that the man held in Poland is a business man with no connections to Mossad at all.
