Seventy-five-year-old Ernestine Shepherd works out more than most people half her age. Shepherd runs ten miles a day and then lifts weights and works as a personal trainer. Shepherd is in the Guinness Book of World Records and Ripley’s Believe it or Not as the world’s oldest competitive female bodybuilder. Shepherd also travels the world as a motivational speaker. And she’s an active member of Union Memorial United Methodist Church in Baltimore, Maryland. Ernestine considers it her ministry to inspire others to live healthy lives. Friend Cynthia Winkler says "She didn't start until she was in her fifties. So when I got to my fifties I said, 'Ooh, if Ms. Ernestine can do this maybe this is something I can do!'"
