24 流覽量 Japan has established a covert foreign intelligence unit to spy on old rivals China and North Korea. Japan has lacked a foreign intelligence since World War II. The spy unit was set up for 'self protection' and to guard against terrorism treats. So far, there has been little official reaction from China or North Korea to the revelations. Maybe it's old news to them. Japan lacks experience in intelligence gathering. Its new spy unit is modelled after the CIA and MI6. China has long sent spies to gather economic and political intelligence on Japan. So Japan, really, is just catching up.
