More than 140 people have been arrested after rowdy football fans celebrating their team's victory in a local championship went on the rampage in the Chilean capital, Santiago.
Some 5, 000 poured into a square in the city after Universidad de Chile's win over Cobreloa at the Estadio Nacional.
Fences were torn down, a police bus was attacked, and stones and bottles were hurled at officers.
The violence marred Universidad de Chile's third title victory of the year. The squad now has 15 league titles and is the country's second most-successful club after Colo Colo.
