Duncan Sheik is a US-born award-winning singer and songwriter whose work can be heard from Billboard to Broadway. Sheik had been playing in bands since High School and after graduating from University he moved from the East to the West Coast to pursue a career in music. He eventually got a record contract with Atlantic Records and launched his debut in 1996. The Duncan Sheik album made the Top 100 of the Billboard charts due, in part, to the success of the single “Barely Breathing”.
