In this fight there were special rules against Rei Zulu. First was that he couldn't hit with a closed fist, and also that there were no kicks while Rickson was on the ground allowed either. Rei Zulu was going from town to town and challenging anyone at any weight class and any fighting style. Then he said he wanted to fight a Gracie. So everytime he would win, people would tell the Gracies. he went to the Gracies and they gave him Rickson, but there were special rules for this fight. I think that without the special rules, Rickson would have either lost or had a much harder time with Rei Zulu.

This is Rickson's second fight with Zulu. Zulu is being much more careful on the ground the second time around.
