Insiders claim she was never fully accepted as part of the CBS team. Rumors say Jeff Zucker is trying to reunite Couric with her old Today co-host Matt Lauer for a new daytime talk show. Lauer is said to be considering leaving Today, but it might just be a ploy for more money. He's contracted to NBC until 2012. However, Lauer's current Today co-host, Meredith Vieira, is reportedly tiring of the gig. Her contract is up this year. Could the Lauer-Couric dream team wind up back together on Today? It would be like the '90s all over again!
