The calls for change continue in Yemen's Capital Sanaa.
Demonstrators crowd the streets in outcry over a deal to ease Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh from power, which granted him immunity from prosecution.
(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) PROTESTER, FOUAD DOUHABA, SAYING:
"We are still in the first step, and the resignation of Ali Abdullah Saleh is the first target of our revolution, and we will not backtrack until we achieve our goals, God willing."
But while people are still out in the streets in Sanaa, in Taiz a UN envoy Jamal Benomar met with local government officials in a bid to end the violence.
He acknowledged the violence but said there were forces working for calm that he hoped would prevail as a new government takes the lead.
