Bieber and Buble get into the holiday spirit

6 years ago104 views

Tis' the season for holiday music.
This year's selection of tunes comes from a diverse plate of artists from pop, jazz, rock and even a television show.
Jazz man Michael Buble has dominated the Billboard 200 Charts for two weeks with his new CD simply titled, "Christmas."
Filled with holiday classics, Buble says he had no problem selecting the tracks.
SOUNDBITE: Michael Buble, singer, saying (English):
"A lot of these tunes when I hear them, take me right back to really warm childhood memories. And so, it was really easy to do that and I mean, my mom had the Bing Crosby record playing through the house through the whole holiday, so that had a big impact on me."
One song that is making an impact on fans is his version of Mariah Carey's 1995 hit "All I Want For Christmas."
Buble says he hasn't heard from Carey about his version, but basted in the glory of his success with the song.
SOUNDBITE: Michael Buble, singer, saying (English):
"I think her version went to number six, I think that's the highest her version ever went, and my version went to number one."
Fellow Canadian Justin Bieber teamed up with Carey to also record a new version of the song, which is featured on his new Christmas CD "Under The Mistletoe."
This season also sees the return of some legends.
Paul Anka, has released his first holiday album in more than 50 years.
The CD titled, "Songs of December" features 11 holiday classics.
And Stone Temple Pilots front man, Scott Weiland mixes traditional with some unexpected arrangements of his favorite Christmas classics.
Happy Holidays!
