Wanda Johnson, mother of Oscar Grant, and John Burris, Grant Family attorney, react to the decision to postpone Johannes Mehserle's preliminary hearing. Mehserle is the former BART police officer accused of murdering unarmed Grant earlier this year.
The hearings were scheduled for March 23rd, but Alameda County Superior Court Judge C. Don Clay delayed proceedings until May 18th due to the killings of four Oakland Police officers Saturday. Shanta Driver, a representative for Equality By and Means Necessary (BAMN), also reacted to the decision.
