What's up guys and welcome back to Clevver Games, I'm Andrea Rene here with news from Sony on the new Playstation 3 4.00 Firmware update. The update is now live and available to download and install on your console but it is possible you might not even need it. . The updates is primarily focused on prepping the PS3 for the arrival of the Playstation Vita which launches in Japan in just a few weeks. Everyone else in the world needs to wait until next year but at least you know you'll be prepared right? . The firmware allows console to connect with the handheld gaming device in a variety of ways. For example, you'll be able to transfer content like music, photos, videos, and game data between the PS3 and the Vita. This sharing of data is very similar to how the PSP works with the PS3. . You'll also be able to enable Remote Play and tweak that pesky automatic update feature for Playstation Plus members. There are also small changes to the Playstation Network including how you can filter friend requests and messages. . You may not have a Vita, but Sony wants you to download the update anyway so might as well get it over with.
