Protesters face off with police in Egypt
A sense of unease permeated Cairo after another day filled with violence.
Egyptian police fired into the air and used teargas to disperse protesters --- many of whom are calling for an end to military rule.
While police have denied using live ammunition, medics reported that most of those killed have had bullet wounds. A truce between between police and protesters in Alexandria lasted just a few short hours before violence flared up on the streets.
The death toll after five days of violence climbed to 37 with as many as 2,000 people wounded in disturbances across the country.
