Can the Arab Spring countries benefit from the transition experiences of Eastern Europe?
It is twenty years after the collapse of communism in Central and Eastern Europe and one year after the beginning of the Arab Spring. The European Development Days 2011, Europe’s premier forum on international affairs and development cooperation, will explore whether lessons learnt during the transition to democracy in Central and Eastern Europe can benefit the people-led movements in North Africa and the Middle East as part of one of the key themes, 'Development and Democracy'.
This year's European Development Days will take place on 15 - 16 December in Warsaw. You can follow all the debates live at www.eudevdays.eu/
