On Wednesday, a New York court found Bout guilty of attempting to sell heavy weapons to a Colombian rebel group.Viktor Bout, a former Soviet military officer, has been dubbed the " Merchant of Death" by his accusers. In 2008, U.S. agents arrested Bout in Thailand. He was extradited to the United States a year ago.
