Multi-media journalist Mike Sullivan introduces us to the Surgance, Building Confident Communicators program. In a pilot program in Boston, B.E.L.L. partnered with Surgance to bring in Young Broadcasters of America to train 30 middle school kids in TV communication skills. These skills transfer seamlessly to the real world, and these young people improved their speaking, and oratory skills and were introduced to how TV production works. Broadcast veteran Jimmy Myers, and YBA founder Jimmy Young along with Eric Clemons all served as instructors for the 5 week 20 hour program.
