The Hollywood Bowl concert was The Doors’ homecoming performance for the L.A. fans. This concert had been co-sponsored by a local Top 40 Radio Station, "KHJ", who had previously refused to play The Doors’ music when the group was still at an underground level. The concert was a sell out - all 18,000 seats were snapped and the L.A fans were ready and waiting for The Doors.
