Syrians protest at funeral

Mourners carry a body round a tree during a funeral - a local tradition that signals martyrdom.
This is amateur video which appears to show a ceremony for a Syrian man killed during an army incursion into the town of Zabadani turning into an anti government protest.
A hand written note identifies the dead man as Zahid Mahmoud Barhan.
Reuters is unable to independently verify the content of the video which was obtained from a social media website.
Activists though say Syrian troops opened fire in Zabadani on Sunday, a day after heavy fighting between army defectors and loyalist forces.
Anti-government protests are continuing throughout the country, despite the violent crackdown by the government.
Other amateur footage taken from social media websites purportedly shows demonstrators in Tadmur, chanting slogans against President Bashar al-Assad.
These pictures were reportedly taken Sunday night, after the Arab League stopped short of suspending Syria from the organisation, instead urging the government to end the violence.
