And on to southern China, where the city of Guangzhou has been hit by hard rains since Thursday. The downpours have flooded streets and forced people to avoid using electronics.
South China's Guangzhou City has been battered by heavy rains since Thursday afternoon. Many streets and buildings have been seriously flooded.
Heavy rains started to hit Guangzhou at about 4 o'clock on Thursday afternoon and lasted for about 11 hours. Thunder and lightning also struck over the city during the downpour.
On Taoyu Street, many stores were inundated by the rainwater. Shopkeepers had to turn off the power in order to keep their household electric appliances safe.
"The rainwater was up to one meter deep. I didn't dare turn on the light or use the refrigerator, so I just turned off the power."
In low-lying areas of Gangding Street, the entrance of the parking lot of a commercial building has been overwhelmed by the rains.
"We piled sandbags up to block the floodwater, it was almost as high as the sandbags."
As of now, no casualties have been reported.
