Dense fog over the past two days has been shrouding northern China's Hebei Province, as well as eastern China's Shandong and Jiangsu provinces. It's caused serious traffic congestion and the closure of some expressways.

With visibility dropping to less than a mile, some expressways in the southern and eastern part of Hebei Province, the western part of Shandong Province and the northern part of Jiangsu Province have been closed. And the Shijiazhuang Airport has been closed for hours due to the heavy fog.

At least 30 people have been killed and dozens others injured in pile-up accidents on mist-shrouded expressways in eastern Zhejiang Province and Tianjin municipality over the past two days.

China's National Meteorological Center is advising people to take precautions and limit their outdoor activities.
