- Follow Us! Alcon Entertainment and Warner brothers are working on bringing back the Blade- hear their plans for a sequel or Prequel to Blade Runner right here! Hi Guys, I'm Chelsea Cannell coming to you from Hollywood! Looks like Blade Runner will be making a return thanks to Alcon entertainment and Warner brothers who are apparently close to acquiring the rights to the franchise. Once directed by Ridley Scott, Andrew Kosgrove, Broderick Johnson and Bud Yorkin of Alcon are actively working on getting something setup for the 1982 Science Fiction thriller. In a recent interview they guys mentioned that they are looking to Batman Begins as the template for what they want to create and would love nothing more than to have Chris Nolan sign on. Adding that they feel that might be Pie in the sky, they wouldn't confirm if they had reached out to Scott as an alternative to helm the project, but said his blessing was of utmost importance to them. While they may get the franchise rights, they did not acquire the remake rights so the plan is to stick to either a pre-quel or a Sequel. Nothing is set in stone yet, and the team is reportedly still hearing pitches from writers as they continue to look for their story. SO sequel or Prequel? Which would you rather see? The comment section is waiting, fill us in. And hit subscribe to see where this project is headed. Bye-y!
