Hey Idol fanatics, I'm Bridget Daly with your American Idol recap from the March 10th episode. America said goodbye to the first contestant of the 13 who had the lowest amount of votes. And that person was Ashthon Jones. She sang a rendition of Diana Ross' When You Tell Me That You Love Me" during Tuesday's show, in which the singers performed a hit from their individual idols. After being placed in the bottom three last night, Ashthon was informed she'd be going home, leaving Hailey Reinhart and Karen Rodriguez safe for another week. Jones then sang the song again for the judges' save, but after the deliberation, J.Lo, Steven, and Randy decided it wasn't good enough to keep her. In another dramatic twist, frontrunner for the guys Casey Abrams was absent last night because he was in the hospital battling stomach problems. According to an Idol rep, he had bleeding ulcers that were stress-induced. He received a blood transfusion, and is reportedly doing much better. Abrams Tweeted last night: "Hey guys, thanks for the well wishes, I got some nice fresh blood in me and feeling better. People at Idol & Cedars are treatin me real good." Happy to hear he's doing well! What do you think about Ashthon going home? Did America get it right? Comment below, and click subscribe to stay posted on more Idol news.
