CSI Season 9 Update Lawrence Fishburne official
CSI Season 9 Update Lawrence Fishburne Hey TV Junkies. I'm Joslyn in Beverly Hills and you're watching ClevverTV. Hit show CSI returns for it's 9th season with some very noteable changes. The most talked about change is the addition of veteran actor Lawrence Fishburne to the cast. The oscar-nominated actor will join the cast, while William Petersen whose been on the show for many years says goodbye in season 9. After officially signing onto CSI, Fishburne said that he was elated and delighted to be joining the cast, and that he looks forward to a wonderful collaboration with the creative and talented team behind the distiguished show. And contrary to what most probably guessed, Fishburne's character will not replace Petersen's character as the new boss on CSI. Fishburne plays Raymond Langston, a former pathologist who stops practicing medicine after he fails to detect an "angel of mercy" killer at his hospital. Langston is a doctor in his late 40's or early 50's but he plays the new guy, just learning his CSI skills. Fishburne had two episodes with Petersen, which he hoped would help to fill the gap that will undoubtedly be left when the longtime star leaves the show. Fishburne's character will add a new medical element to the Las Vegas-based drama. Langston's previous career allows him to help with autopsies and have a different point of view than other characters already on the tv hit. Viewers must be enjoying the revamped version of the show because even with the departure of some key castmembers, CSI remains Thursday nights most-watched show in it's time block, according to Neilsen ratings. The cast is also embracing the new changes on the show. Actor Robert David Hall recognizes that Petersen is irreplaceable but he's excited and optimistic about the vibe surrounding Fishburne. The show has some of the most loyal fans in television, so the true test is up to them. Another fun bit of information about the CSI franchise. Pete Wentz and Ashlee SImpson are set to make an upcoming cameo on CSI: New York, where we hear they'll play Bonnie and Clyde-like villains. The episode will air March 18th! CSI airs every Thursday on CBS. Tune in this week to see Lawrence Fishburne in action. For all the latest dish on other TV hits, stay here at clevver.com.
