Salsa: Basic Patterns - part of the women's fitness video series by GeoBeats. The salsa is made up of 6 to 7 basic elements, it is a rocking type dance. I am going to demonstrate some of those for you now. We have a basic step that can rock forward and rock back. And you see the lady's a mirror image of me. Now we also have the side basic, and you can see that that is a great way to just play with the partner, make a little story. Now we can do that as many times as we want, and then we are going to have the lady rock forward, the man back. Now we can do a walk around turn, we will both kind of do that, right. And that makes for some plays. We will walk around, turn and rock, step, step. Now that same walk-around turn, you can just take her hand. Same walk-around turn, you can turn yourself and just do some interactive hand changing. You can do the same thing - you can actually take the lady, have her pass your body. But keep in mind, everything is simply rock, step, step, rock, step, step, rock, step, step, rock, step, step. This is your underarm turn, underarm turn. Man's turn, turn the lady again. Go under the lady's arm and it is the same feet. Rock, step, step, rock, step, pass the girl to the other side of the rock, step, step, rock, step. Start to play - you can even turn yourself, play, make a picture. You can do a walk-around. Rock, step, step, rock, step, step, and rock, step, step. Again you can do those side basics. So here were just a few simple patterns, you can be on your way to the club in one day.
