Keeping The Cutting Board Secure - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. Another quick tip is to bring a cutting board. And then, you want it so it does not slide around. I know that this is on a cutting board itself but, usually you are on either marble or stainless steel and you do not want your board to slip around especially when you are cutting. So, you can take one of these and it has a non-skid and you put it underneath and it will stop the cutting board from sliding around. If you do not have one of these, you can always take a towel and wet it down and put this underneath it. That will stop it from sliding around if it is damp. On there, and if you do not have enough towels, take a paper towel and wet that down and put that on the board and that will work just as good. So, if you do not have it secured, you could be cutting away and it slides and that is the last thing you want, slip. You do not want to be cutting yourself. You do not want the knife to come towards you. It is just a safety thing. Just protecting yourself all the time. Always think ahead of yourself when you are at an event. And that is my tip for keeping your cutting board secure.
