NEW YORK - Alexandre Herchcovitch might just be the busiest man in the world! After doing fashion shows in both Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo, he's now in New York showcasing a new Spring/Summer 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week. Here, rather than focusing on swimsuits and beachwear, Herchcovitch showcased something much more elegant. There were pencil skirts with bows and embroidered frocks. The designer said he found fabrics from the 50s in his native country Brazil and used many of the fabrics for his show. Some were embellished, others were satiny and the rest were in prints. The red dress was of course the highlight. The other highlight, besides those embellished baseball caps for a sporty effect? He used Brazilian models like Aline Weber, Daiane Conterato, Malu Bortolini and Debora Muller to kick his collection off.
