Two civilians are dead and 26 injured after a suicide car bomb explodes in front of a local police chief's office in southern Afghanistan's Helmand province.
The Taliban took credit for the attack in Laskar Gah, one of the first six areas chosen to pioneer the security handover from foreign troops to local forces.
One of those killed was a child and 10 police were among the wounded, according to a spokesman for the governor of Helmand province.
The car bomb exploded near a bakery on a busy street that supplied bread to police.
