Tony Bennett throws big brithday bash

New York's Metropolitan Opera is where some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry's converged for a party -- such as sir Elton John, and actor Alec Baldwin.
The star of the show is legendary singer Tony Benett, who is celebrating his 85th birthday and the release of his new CD that features collaborations with today's hottest artists such as Lady Gaga and Mariah Carey.
According to his daughters, Bennett is not slowing down.

Among the guests was Mitch Winehouse, father of late singer Amy Winehouse with whom Bennett performed the song "Body and Soul" for his new CD.

"It's a wonderful single, although to be honest with you I haven't been able to view it yet. And we were invited along here to celebrate his birthday and to also celebrate the single. So it's a great honor for us to be here."
The birthday concert included special appearances by Elton John, Alejandro Sanz and a showstopper from the Queen of Soul -- Aretha Franklin, who are all featured in Bennett's new album.
Titled "Duets II," the CD was released on September 20th and is already number one in 10 countries.
