Doctors have removed a handful of sticks, 150ml of sand and 400ml of fluid from its stomach. - The emperor penguin found at Peka Peka beach this week is currently being treated at The Nest - Te Kohanga at Wellington Zoo. However, visitors are advised that the penguin will not be on display apart from during procedures at The Nest. There are no procedures planned for the emperor penguin on Tuesday 28 June.
