Concert for Clinton; Madonna listens to critics

Lady Gaga, U2 and Usher will headline an upcoming concert honoring former President Bill Clinton's favorite namesake foundation. "A Decade of Difference" is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the William J. Clinton Foundation which has helped raise more than 10 billion dollars for charity. The concert is scheduled for October 15 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The father of British singer Amy Winehouse is speaking out about his daughter's death, saying he believes she died of a seizure brought on by ending years of binge drinking.
Breaking his silence ahead of the launch of the Amy Winehouse Foundation, Mitch Winehouse says Amy was drug-free for three years and that illicit substances had nothing to do with her sudden death at her London home in July.
"She was warned by our doctor three months ago," explained Winehouse. "
"He wrote to her...she wrote to her, Dr. Christina, and she said, 'Do not detox without medical supervision. You have to be supervised.' You know and Amy was like every other 27-year-old girl who smokes and never thinks they're going to get lung cancer. She felt that this didn't apply to her and it applied especially to her because she had a history of seizures."
Madonna is paying attention to what critics are saying about her new film "W.E.." At a media conference in Toronto, the singer-turned director wants the reviews to focus on her work as a director -- not on her personal life. The film, which screened at the Toronto Film Festival on Monday night (September 12), has received mixed praise.
Miss Angola, Leila Lopes, a business student from the town of Benguela in her home country, was crowned Miss Universe on Monday (September 12) after dazzling a panel of judges with her beauty and impressing them with her brain.
The twenty-five-year-old Lopes told reporters that she believed her smile was the key to her victory.
