Jack and Lou, it's stunning what revolution the broadband internet has brought, with all this precious music at hand. Lou, I'm glad you unveiled this record you had misplaced in some corner... as for Elmer Feldkamp, he died Sep 27, 1938. I never got to know his date of birth.

All I remember is how much work and effort was involved to access this music, only a few years ago it seems. Probably was around 2002-03 when the Internet with higher speeds and better computers started to change everything.

Blakie,You're right in a way we have a little of when normal people had orchestras and put it on film. It's great to see some of the old bands in action(like Patrick did on a few videos).Years ago ,I used to wait for HBO to put the bands on and I would tape them,Made the mistake of giving that tape with about 50 bands on it away to a friend who has since passed on.

Freddy, Elmer and all the other past greats still performing today on the Internet. Only a few years ago who wouldda thunk it?

Moonlover,Did I fool you with this different version?.Never saw "Some Like It Hot".What was the date of Elmer's death? Elmer's last recording was in Hollywood,Ca. on July 7-1938 on Bluebird BB 7700 (So Help Me,If I Don't Love You) and BB-7699 (Confidentially).
