For the past five months, the Democratic Republic of Congo has been battling an outbreak of cholera. Some 4700 people have fallen ill from the disease, and more than 250 have died. The illness is particularly prevalent in provinces abutting the Congo river. Experts say poor sanitary conditions could risk spreading the outbreak to the crowded capital Kinshasa.
