According to China Meteorological Administration, several cities in central Hunan Province have registered temperatures above 35 degrees Celsius since July 19. High temperatures have forced people to remain indoors as often as possible. Hunan provincial meteorological authorities have launched artificial precipitation to help crop growth. As of 6 a.m. Monday, China's Central Meteorological Office issued blue alerts for a heat wave.
