Primula sikkimensis and denticulata in Sikkim, June 2009. This is a large group of plants commonly known as the Primrose. Perennial primulas bloom mostly during the spring; their flowers can be purple, yellow, red, pink, or white. Different varieties of flowers are found in Sikkim. Sikkim is the least populous state in India and the second-smallest state after Goa. The climate ranges from subtropical to high alpine. Sikkim has around 5,000 flowering plants.
