Hoolock Gibbons of the north-east of India

Hoolocks belong to the family of Gibbons, and the Hoolock in particular has very human qualities. Seen here in north-east India's state of Arunachal Pradesh. The Gibbons are amongst the only apes who truly branchiate, with speeds up to 55 kmph they can travel as far as 6 meters with each swing!
