Dating: Unconventional Ways to Find the Right Guy - as part of the expert series by GeoBeats. I am Lissa Coffey with coffeytalk.com. Ways to Meet the Right Guy: In a compatible relationship, ideally you are going to have shared interests and shared values. So where do you go to meet someone that has those shared interests and shared values? Well, you could do that volunteering somewhere, or you could take classes in something you are interested in, or you could even join a club. Something where you are both going to be able to participate, and meet other people and have a social situation where you can really get to know each other. Who Pays on the First Date? There are no hard and fast rules in dating anymore, but traditionally, the man pays on the first date. Now, having said that, always be prepared. Bring your own cash with you. You never know what is going to happen. You do not want to be left in a lurch an a restaurant. Signs You Have Found the Right Guy: The most important component of any relationship is honesty. So when you are in a relationship where you are both being honest with each other, when you are both allowed to be the person you are, and feel safe in that relationship, then you know you have found the right guy. I Don't Along with His Friends: This is the thing, when you are in a relationship, friends are a package deal. He has probably had those friends long before he met you. So, you do not have to be their best friends, but you do have to get along with them. You do have to respect them and appreciate them. There is something in them that he values, so you need to find what that is and value it as well. Breaking Up with Someone: The best way to break up with someone is with respect. You want to do it face-to-face. That is what the person deserves. Do not do it by text. Do not do it by phone. Have a face-to-face conversation. Probably in a neutral location, so that you both feel like you are safe and that you can say what you need to say. Getting Over a Breakup: There is no magic formula for getting over a relationship, but you need to get over it, because until you get over it, you are not going to be able to move on with someone else. So, think about how you can get closure. Come to that recognition and acceptance, integration. And then, come to a place of gratitude where you know that you can be grateful for that relationship even though it did not work out, because what you have done is, you have learned and you have grown from the experience.
