Although cars are discouraged in Paris, on Sundays we sometimes chance it and take The Dinkmobile into town to see an old movie, visit a museum (many are free) and to look at markets. Parking is generally free on the weekends. Please be careful to park only in legal parking places.
We went to the Cognack-Jay Museum in the Hôtel Donon in Le Marais. Free to the public. The building is interesting, and the collection inside very good. Le Marais is in Central Paris by the Seine and is one of the most charming quarters. The métro 1 line, "Saint-Paul," is one way to get there via public transportation.
The Dinkmobile is a 1995 Citröen ZX "Flash." It has manual transmission and runs on diesel (gazole). Very good mileage. It is a real "pot de yaourt." (A beater.)
