When India won the World Cup on Saturday in Mumbai, celebrations erupted all over the world.

India won the match when captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni hit a six in the penultimate over of the match, chasing 275 to beat Sri Lanka, for whom Mahela Jayawardene had earlier scored a fine century.

Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar later described winning the event as the pinnacle of his distinguished career, saying he was 'speechless' having achieved his boyhood dream.
