STORY: RUSSIA LAUNCHES MANNED SPACESHIP DATELINE: Dec. 16, 2010 LENGTH: 0:00:33 LOCATION: Moscow PIC Russia has launched a Soyuz spacecraft with three astronauts on board. The Soyuz TMA-20, carrying a Russian, an Italian and an American, blasted off at about 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The spacecraft is scheduled to dock with the International Space Station on Friday. The three-member crew is expected to stay at the space outpost for nearly six months, joining the existing crew of an American and two Russians. As the U.S. space shuttles stop operation in 2011, the Russian Soyuz spacecraft would shoulder the responsibility of personnel exchange at the orbiting laboratory.
