Monte Rosa Ski - Aosta Valley - Italy

The Monte Rosa Massif is a mountain massif located in the eastern part of the Pennine Alps. It is located between Switzerland (Valais) and Italy (Piedmont and Aosta Valley). Monte Rosa is the second highest mountain in the Alps and western Europe. Its name is said to derive not from the Italian "rosa" ("pink") colour, as many think, but from a Patois term meaning "glacier", variously spelled as rouese, rouja or roisa. ( source Wikipedia )
