Newton’s last Pride fight was in Bushido 5 on Oct 10, 2004 when he lost to Ryo Chonan. Newton’s last fight was on Oct 9, 2006 in K-1 Hero’s where he won against Tokimitsu Ishizawa.
Newton has been working some with Team Quest, Randy Couture’s former training camp. He is also working with the IFL where he is the Toronto Dragons’ head coach. Newton is set to fight in the IFL in Portland, Oregon on Nov. 2, 2006 against Renzo Gracie.
