(0120 CR M10)RURAL, URBAN INCOME GROWTH DATELINE: Jan 20, 2011 LENGTH: 00:00:52 VO Among all the figures released by the bureau on Thursday, per capita income growth is also a highlight, because it's the first time in the past decade that the country's rural residents outpaced urban dwellers in their income growth. According to the NBS, the annual per capita disposable income of China's urban residents was about 2,900 U.S. dollars last year, up 11.3 percent year on year, or an increase of 7.8 percent in real terms after deducting the price factors. The per capita net income for rural residents hit 898 U.S. dollars, up 14.9 percent from previous year, or an increase of 10.9 percent in real terms. This is the first time the real per capita net income growth for rural residents surpassed that of the urban dwellers since 1998. Powered by www.newslook.com Producer : Xinhua News Agency
