While traveling Internationally you can actually certainly buy round the world tickets which can be very cheap depending on your type of travel or there is another company that I have used is called airtreks.com and they do round the world tickets but they also specialize in multi-stop tickets.

So often I land in Singapore and stay a few days there but then from there there are many many budget options available to you, budget airlines, that you probably don't even know about. Same thing with Europe. They have a bunch of budget airlines that operate out of Europe. So its always a really good thing also in Bangkok I would say. So if you kind of get into a major hub and then research the budget airlines from there, that is a good way to save.
Way that you can find budget accommodations while you are on the road, one of the best things I actually do is use CouchSurfing. So I think its couchsurfing.org. Its a way where you can - locals allow you into there home and you can sleep on their couch normally for free. However it is not about just getting free accommodations, its really about a social and kind of local connection and interaction. You treat it as this is a chance to meet locals, learn a lot about the culture, maybe have an insight scoop up things, but I also sleep on a couch or sometimes an extra bedroom for free.
Normally what I do is I use tripadvisor, do a lot of research on guest house and hostels to get to read the reviews and then I will just contact the hostels or hotels directly. Sometimes on tripadvisor, people leave reviews and also give a lot of good information about maybe they were able to negotiate with the owner or what did they pay and stuff like that. So you kind of get some insight information to learn how to bargain with, especially in countries in Asia and India, stuff like that, where bargaining for a room is quiet normal.
