Many Belgians have started digging up their ancestors' Luxembourgish birth certificates so that they can move there if stability fails to return to Belgium.Belgians are considered a sensible people, but with the country still lacking a government, a devolution of powers looks increasingly likely. French-speaking Wallonia would be the bigger loser in this scenario, beset by high unemployment and no longer in a position to rely on wealthy Flanders. Many are hoping to start new lives in the neighboring country of Luxembourg.
