In southeast China, coordinated explosion near three government buildings killed at least two people on Thursday, state-run media reported. The suspect died in the blasts. He's reportedly to have been in a long dispute with local authorities over the forced demolition of his home ten years ago.

A series of explosions killed at least two people and injured five in China's southeastern Jiangxi Province, state-run Xinhua News Agency reported. One of the victims is believed to be the suspect, identified as 52-year-old Qian Mingqi, a resident of Fuzhou's Linchuan district. He's reported to have appealed against local authorities for ten years over a forced home demolition.

The first explosion was outside the Fuzhou City's Prosecutors office around 9 am on Thursday. Pictures posted by netizens show shattered windows of the eight-story building. The blast was followed just minutes later by two more—one at a district government building, and another at a food and drug administration building. The blasts are believed to have been set-off by car bombs.

[Mr. He, Local Resident]:
"There are death and injuries, but we don't know the details. They've started martial law and we can't go there to see what's happening."

There are unconfirmed reports that a second blast went off at the district government building around 10 am. Some Chinese bloggers are also claiming more than ten people died in the blasts. Some have already complained that their postings are being removed by the Chinese regime's internet police.

Forced home demolitions have sparked numerous protests around China. Many are frustrated by authorities' lack of action to address their problems. Victims have resorted to more extreme methods recently to draw attention to their plight.
