Polish Song and Dance Ensemble
The Polish Song and Dance Ensemble “Slask” have been described as one of the grandest and most dazzling spectacles in the world. The show is a thrilling display of dazzling movement, vibrant colour and stunning beauty, with beautiful choreographic, vocal and musical performances. The incomparable “Slask” performance troupe whirl, leap, stamp and glide in a glorious outpouring of sound and motion, rhythm and music that celebrates the cultural legacy of Poland.
The show is a colourful kaleidoscope of Polish national and folk culture. There are dances and songs from 15 regions of Poland, National Polish dances including Polonaise, Mazurka, Kujawiak, Oberek and Krakowiak. An ensemble of 90 dancers, musicians and singers are arrayed in a seemingly never-ending series of handmade traditional costumes – more than 1,200 in total, each one more dramatic and colourful than the next.
