A bomb kills two police officers and wounds another in Thailand's southern province of Narathiwat. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack, but general violence in the area is blamed on Muslim separatists.
A roadside bomb has killed two police officers and wounded another in Narathiwat Province in Thailand's deep south on Tuesday.
The bomb was concealed inside a fire extinguisher hidden under a road in the Tak Bai district.
It was triggered when a pickup truck carrying police officers drove over it.
No one has claimed responsibility for the attack.
Most violence in the area is blamed on suspected Muslim separatists.
There has been a sharp rise in the number and scale of attacks in the past month.
The region is dominated by ethnic Malay Muslims who have long complained of being treated like second-class citizens in the mainly Buddhist Thai state.
More than 4,500 people have been killed and nearly 9,000 wounded in violent clashes since January 2004.
