PKG The new Egyptian cabinet met for the first time on Monday since President Mubarak sacked several ministers and made a major reshuffle in the face of the initial public unrest. The cabinet agreed to up public sector wages by 15 percent, and it also planned to auction more than 2 billion U.S. dollars of debt in a bid to inject money back into the battered economy. The measures were the latest attempts by Mubarak's government to quell anger and return the country back to normal.
