This is a set of 71 DVDs chronicling the expositions of 18 chapters of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita by Anandmurti Gurumaa in Gita Gyana Yagya held in Gurumaa Ashram. Eighteen chapters are spread across 9 sets, each containing the description about the chapters included and the number of DVDs. In continuation to set 7 [chapter 14 & 15] about the supreme wisdom and the importance of the weapons of vairagya & vivek to cut through the delusion of this samsara, this set contains the expositions of chapter 16 & 17 of Shrimad Bhagavad Gita by Anandmurti Gurumaa. These enlightening explanations emphasise upon developing the divine qualities to please the Supreme Lord and be liberated from the entanglements of the world. Sixteenth chapter titled Daivasarasaupadvibhaga Yoga describes in detail the divine and demoniac natures, and how the divine qualities are conducive to liberation whereas the demoniac qualities lead to bondage. Gurumaa has also emphatically explained that the ones with the lowest qualities are always lost in the ocean of the material existence amongst the demoniac species. In the end, Gurumaa has also stated at length about the consequences of discarding the spiritual injunctions. Seventeenth chapter titled Saddhatrayavibhag Yoga begins where the previous chapter ended i.e. Arjuna inquires from Krishna about what happens to those who do not follow the principles laid down in the scriptures but do worship a certain deity. Explaining the answer as given by the Lord, Gurumaa has lucidly elucidated the fruits of the actions arising out of the dominance of a guna acquired by the person and this has been discussed in depth. In the end, Gurumaa has succinctly described the purpose of performing charity, penance or sacrifice in accordance with the scriptures.
