Activists on Friday (May 6) counted 27 killed in anti-government protests in Syria across the country. Amateur video posted on the web on Friday which cannot be independently verified, some including a date stamp, showed large crowds of anti-government demonstrators in the capital Damascus which appeared calm despite the sound of occasional gunfire.
